Yep, that's it I think! It's hideous.
Well, not *hideous*, just so boring. I'm so over big corporate blocks of glass.
There are some more interestingly shaped blocks of glass in the area, and quite a nice bridge, but its all so bland. That kind of architecture is nice when its in the middle of London, surrounded by a variety of different types of buildings, but when its on its own, surrounded by hundreds of more or less replicas of the same its just not.
Probably Dru will disagree fervontly when he reads this, but working here just makes me long for some nice 18th century buildings with cornices and sculptures all over them, and faux classical bits and pieces. And stone. And pretty windows. And cast iron. And chimneys. And castley bits.
