Miles ahead...

I've been trying to work out for a while now exactly what it was about Capote that underwhelmed me and then yesterday there was a full page ad for the movie in the paper and I realised that I'd been subconsciously hoping for a very different movie:

Sex and death - two things that come once in a lifetime... but at least after death, you're not nauseous...
Capote wishes he could have written that...

I absolutely loved Capote! I saw it at the Angelika in New York In November, all alone with a nice big vat of American popcorn, it was the best afternoon!

Maybe it was just the perfect movie for a quiet winter afternoon, but I genuinely loved PSH's creepyness too.

Humbug to the lot of you. He'll win the Oscar for having a stupid voice.

You're just jealous because you can't do any silly voices.

I've a mind to punch you like a BUG!

Also, Catherine Keener should win some awards, too. She's hot, in a soccer mom sort of way.

Catherine Keener is very hot! I first noticed in Being John Malkovich. I liked her clothes.

I like where this going. Keener is very cool. Her and Donnie Darko's mom should have a sleepover and Keener would have to call her 'Mrs President' like on BSG... then they'd have to discipline Starbuck and that gay cowboy's sister...

Man.

Ok, now I have to to a very important writer's meeting. In a pub. We've double booked the function room with a Magic: The Gathering card gaming group so it should make for an interesting evening...

If I turn up on anyone's doorstep after midnight with bloody clothes to bury then it's probably best not to ask too many questions.
