Awesome post. I love the playboy bit. Seems like you just need a good contact at flickr, i'll let you know if I meet anyone... I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. Sweet picks though.

Hi Mike

what a story/scenario/pickle. The copyright and copy rights circle of confusion ... a tale as best I can remember. I worked with a Photographer who's pictures appeared in P'boy. In the background, a train, with a logo. P'boy got sued. Photographer did not do another shoot for some time w/P'boy. Good eye, train was in plain view and deep background.

I can't even count the number of times I or some one else on the crew slapped a piece of tape or some other "slight fix" in order to alter the name or logo. By slight I mean taping the "c" in C@ca to make it read Coka. Or adding a letter to some other brand name. Bit like bleeping a four letter word ... everyone knows what it is that is said ... the mind fills in the bleeps.

I would go into all the things I have been through, but it is boring. I do keep an eye out for ways to backup what I have, but I am perhaps to cautious. I want free or cheap (I don't plan to access often) storage, redundant/two or more distant server locations (in case there is a disaster) and because a lot of what I have is behind the scene video, shot reality TV style (funny I was calling it Behind the scene Documentary footage)I want to be certain that it will not be erased ... with one of those notices.

For you and others, here are a couple of links worth a look. (I have not settled on what I will end up doing though I did look into this http://celumimagine.com/en.htm ) and yeah I know, anyone can do a google search, I just thought this might speed it up.

One thing I did notice, some of these companies have already gone the way of the dinosaur.

Well Mike, if this is too long or too much information, I don't mind a bit if you trim or delete. JUst wanted to say hi, and contribute.

Nice to know you (seesmically speaking) and look forward to hearing you found a solution(s)
